Let's talk about Carcass for a sec. I liked the Surgical Steel, but admittedly never heard much else by them and when I did hear something else, I wasn't impressed at all (can't remember if it was newer or older.) Wanna help a guy out and point me in the right direction?
i like all of their stuff in different capacities but if you liked Surgical Steel then check out Heartwork.

Symphonies of Sickness is also really good but not melodic death metal

Not enough, from what I understand. Jammed the shit out of Surgical Steel, just never got interested in anything else.

I mean, it's not. It's post rock with BM elements like blasts and howls, but real BM is so steeped in a different aesthetic that you can't really call it BM. But like I said, it definitely have BM components while the composition is undeniably post rock.

I get that you 5 this by clicking the drop down and clicking 5, but I have a hard time thinking this could click with someone so strongly that it would be a 5. Clearly it has, but it's hard for me to imagine.
