I think it's too front loaded and the second half is too much if a slower paced lull

"Have a nice meal, put a lemonade on your bedside table, put the compact disc in your stereo, and listen to each song one by one, second by second. It's an incredible album and you'll see (hopefully sooner than later)"
Really not sure how you could've misinterpreted that, joyous. Seems pretty straight-forward haha

if you've ever suffered with addiction/depression or something debilitating, some of this resonates. Some of the lyrics though. Still would of liked to hear a heavier sempi mixed with there is a hell, hybrid f xck fest.

Their old stuff is ok, but this record is their masterpiece. They'll never top That's the Spirit.
Period.

This thread has turned from cancer into some hyper-evolved cancer probably with some Nazi ancestry.

Surely I don't need to point out the irony of the fact that you are now also part of it. What a wondrous world we live in.

Not every day, but quite frequently yes. Also a little self-examination is always good (implying I was already a part of the cancer). But tbh you're also frequently here as well.

Its amazing that an album this harmless has such divided opinions. Like, its a dece album, just let yourself enjoy it damn.
Its almost as ridiculous that people are calling it a masterpiece but w/e

Arguments and debates just make me upset. Life is too short to argue with people. On the other hand, putting this is in the same discussion as Floyd's Dark Side is just silly. That guy had to have been trolling. I haven't been around here long enough to know how it all works, but don't rip on people for saying this album isn't good and don't rip on people for saying it's awesome. It's an opinion, like anything else. Old fans, new fans, like the old sound better, like the new sound better. Who gives a fuck. If you have been listening to them forever and dislike the new album, ok cool, and if you have been listening to them forever and think it's their best work, ok cool. They're a great band, leave it at that?

I genuinely do think That's the Spirit is a masterpiece. It's probably because I wasn't into BMTH before Sempiternal. I loved Sempiternal but That's the Spirit pushed them a little further to creating an identity for themselves. Regardless of the divided fanbase, they're doing what they love and what they're good at. I'm shocked by the volume of comments I find on the internet personally attacking the band for wanting to better themselves. Looks like it's gonna take people a long time to get over it.
