I haven't heard THAT much DM but there's a selection of bands I decided to check out first after lurking on here, rightly or wrongly...
Death, Morbid Angel, Immolation, Gorguts, Possessed, Suffocation, Ulcerate, Atheist, Cryptopsy, Pestilence, At the Gates (early), Incantation.
