I hear what you're saying, but it still bothers me when someone calls an album too long (even though I've said the same thing before). Especially in this day-and-age, how many people actually sit down and listen to a full album? If every song is good and the album isn't 'required' to be listened to all at once (like a concept album or whatever) I try not to dwell too much on length.

In my opinion, an album is at its most enjoyable when it's really captivating and engaging. That never loses your attention and keeps the momentum going through the whole experience. If it's long or short shouldn't really make that much of a difference. If you feel an album is too long, it's most likely a bit flawed.

Yeah agreed, personally if I complain about the length of something it's cuz the ideas are stretched thin and the quality doesn't justify the run time.
