"I always thought that was common knowledge to people who knew the band well."

Well no because their first 3 are not their big 3 albums.

Fair enough. As stated I'm not an expert and thus won't argue with the pedants.

Wasn't trying to be an authoritative dick or anything, was just trying to clarify what you were referring to.

Appreciate it, I'll admit to being slightly annoyed by the comment. I know where you're coming from, just read pedantic to me is all, but that's the internet.

No harm done man.

They're part of a trilogy so that's why I said that. I wasn't saying it as an authority or trying to be technical lol

Perfect closer.

Lost In Moments, Porn Piece and Future Sound of Music all make me tingle hard.

In particular, Garm's vox on Porn Piece are just so soothing.

I kinda wish there were some more jazzy moments here. Those and garms vox are definitely the highlights

yeah, only down point about it is that it just ends on that, like I'm expecting something bigger and it just dies out yet it still works

Like I find this album cold yet soothing, no doubt it's a really bleak/narcissistic album at heart tho.

At least that's how I see it anyway.

i see this album as inspired by the feeling of being immersed within the social world yet completely detached from everyone and everything in it

That's a really good description man, nice.

Kinda what I was getting at, it has good intentions but is overridden with bleak synths and cold song subjects.

can we talk about how dope the "movie trailer style spoken word" section at the end of Dead City Centres? Comes outta nowhere and it's just so sleazy

Yeah it's cool, reminds me of something outta Bioshock for some reason.

We Are the Dead creeps me the fuck out, like a retro horror game soundtrack ala Alone in the Dark.

I've always associated this album with film noir and Heavy Rain.

It's such a bleak and beautiful album.
