this does one thing most concept albums don't do, however: set the imagery and atmosphere through the actual music, not just lyrics

Indeed. Something prog musicians don't seem to quite understand.

His explanation makes the album artwork make so much sense. And by that I mean it makes it make sense at
all, which it didn't before >_>

Well, he always did describe this album as Johnny Cash songs coming through a radio on the moon.

Damn gonna bookmark that commentary for later, sounds amazing. The little videos he did for pledgers were great but there wasn't much insight into the concept

Oh fuck, Bones gets feelsier each time I hear it.
I realise that this album was supposed to be a cooling-off period for him creatively, but I cannot wait for the life of me to see
where he takes this sort of sound and songwriting style on another album.

Devy is my favorite musician so even his lesser works are pretty easy 4.5s for me. That being, I actually prefer his quieter side. I mean, nothing could ever really match the one-two punch of City and Alien so I am not really looking to have that itch scratched.

Glad to see someone list Deathscope as on of their favorites.

I have been listening to "Deathscope" the most lately. Had to give "The Bridge" a break because I was practically spamming it.

Devy's softer stuff is my favourite agreed although his best albums are when he balances soft and heavy like OM:B
