Of course it can. As all modern Thrash Metal bands can be traced to Kreator and Metallica etc. It's

about how close they sound to Periphery and how close they sound to Meshuggah, which makes for a

different issue on the table. I can say i hear Misha's influence perfectly clear in this. Not Fredrik

Throdendal's.

Every time I listen to this I love it even more, which didn't really happen with their first two albums. Especially weightless...

Well yeah, it's "Djent". About that, i still feel like no band ever pulled a tone as deep and grave

and plain fucking insane quite like the 'Shuggah. The tone on the guitars of Koloss are just that much

of a slap in the face of all the Djent brahs from all around the world. Hell the whole album is

Also agree, Weightless didn't get me but for Isolated Incidents and To Lead You To An Overwhelming Question

self titled instantly grabbed me. weightless took some time but they have a pretty cool vibe on that album (plus Navene was a BEAST on the kit)

gonna give this more time but so far I find myself skipping a lot of the second half

The second half is more subtle, but more rewarding for me personally. Songs like Lippincott have worn off me a bit.

The first half is near perfect, second half is lighter songs and are amazing in their own right

I was the exact same. Crescent, Para Mexer and Nephele are probably my faves behind PE obv.
