Just because I don't have this 5'd doesn't mean it's not a classic.

Using that logic, Dark Side of the Moon is certainly not a classic because I think it's a 3 (not really but you get the point)

3.5 is fitting for this yes

Even Flow is still like the gold standard for rock songs though.

Even flow is what every agressive rock song should sound like yeah.

"4.0 Is classic? Lol "

I dunno buddy, i may have told ya this before but there's a bunch of 4.5s that i love just about as much as my 5s. I'm just very selective about what stuff i decide to 5, and my ratings are always subject to change and reflection.

I tried to be careful at what I rate, but I typically give things I like a 4 at this point

Nah mate one of the greatest rock albums no doubt , Black is like the quintessential grunge track but the whole album is consistently solid

Vedder's vocals in general are great. A lot of rock singers have those kind of ad libs, especially in the more emotional songs.

"Maybe if you like pussy grunge-lite rock albums with overproduced production values" Wait you mean Nevermind? This is in no way overproduced, it's very muddy and the bass is not very audible a lot of the time

"a vocalist who mumbles while simultaneously somehow taking over the musical soundscape, then sure." We get it you hate his vocals quit beating a dead horse who says an vocalist needs to have clear as day vocals to convey emotion?

"God I wish that i wasn't surrounded by Pearl Jam fans, Doof and Ars are soooooooooooooo right on the topic of Pearl Jam it's amazing. " Or maybe we have an opinion that's completely different than yours? 🤔

"Your shots at me are so bad. When did I say I liked Nevermind you moron?" How am I implying you said Nevermind ever? Nevermind is ridiculously overproduced and this isn't, especially when comparing the two. Hell the production on this was done cheap which is why we have that overproduced (but still really good) remix/remaster of the album

I assumed you hated his vox because you keep complaining about how unintelligible his vocals are. And the only "grunge" vocals I can ever compare to Vedder is that guy from Creed. Not a single grunge band out there has a vocalist similar to his; can you name any specific singers that sound like the dude?

You word your defenses so awkwardly especially since you make it a point to cram in as much forced insults as you could a lot of the time

Also you said

stereotypical "grunge" sounding(he's basically the textbook case for grunge vocals), or just overtaking the music overall.

And then you just sort of backtrack and say "Not really"

Well ALA I'm not going to bother arguing with you here because its not even really open for debate. Eddie's vocals are perfectly suite to the music and there's a reason this is universally hailed as the pinnacle of Rock/Grunge in the 90's by critics who are a lot more musically cultured then you are my friend but you're only young so I'm sure you'll see the ignorance of your statements in a couple of years time.
