First listen through and this sounds like a proggier Traced In Air. Not quite as good as that of course, but this isn't bad at all.

yeah there was a weird reaction to this album like people weren't okay with cynic doing something different, whereas the opposite is true imo. this album is actually really similar to traced in air, which is why I'm confused that almost nothing about it works for me
