Bumped up my rating a touch. Upon subsequent listens, this album is pure magic. One of the most underrated of the year, imo. The intro song leading into Opale is so beautiful.

Delivrance is still one of my SOTY but the others still pale in comparison even though I thought it would grow on me

I don't think so. It certainly doesn't drag as long as some of the moments in GY!BE's discog

Their long moments are dynamic, chilling, beautiful, and they pay off most of the time. Whereas this song just does the same

thing over and over again for the final three minutes or so.

sometimes repetition is beautiful

I literally don't see the difference. It gets a little louder, a little more intense and a little more beautiful and that's all really.

Yea but that's up to the listener to decide whether or not it should keep going

See with repetition for me I'm just pretty picky. If it works it works and if it doesn't it doesn't. I think Godspeed and Isis have it down perfectly but with songs like Beings Of Light off Alcest's third album it can suck balls. Besides, Deliverance is awesome it's just a small gripe anyway lol

godspeed and isis aren't repetitive
