Album sounds great, but so far I can't quite find myself riding the riffs and melodies, or lack thereof. Sounds like a huge block of brutality, which I like, but I wish there were more distinct flavors in there. I guess this may have to do with the down tuning on this album, which makes the guitars less trebbly and noticeable. (Favorite CC albums: Tomb of the Mutilated, The Bleeding, Bloodthirst, Gore Obsessed, The Wretched Spawn, Torture.)

Bloodthirst is unbelievably good. Dead Human Collection as a standalone is better than entire discographies from other bands. Wretched Spawn is probably the only album I'd wager to say was "bad" in CC's discography, and it's not really bad, it's just weak compared to their other material.

I don't see the Wretched spawn being anywhere near their weakest that album rips. Gore obsessed and red before black were always the two that I didn't hold in high standard which seems to be a common opinion. Everything else they did ranges from really solid to great. But even red and gore aren't bad albums

Wretched Spawn just has "that era" recording in the least flattering way possible - in the same way Symph X Paradise Lost does - and also I think it's effing boring as far as Corpse goes. That's my take, I'm sticking to it. Peepee poopoo, lmao.
