ACOS is pretty astounding and it might become one of my favorites in due time but Octavarium has a lot more I can cling on to besides nostalgia. From the intro with the crazy "sliding synthesizers" to the beautiful acoustic section with really unique vocal melodies from JL to the "Trapped INSIDE THIS OCTAVARIUM" scream and finally the most goosebump-inducing solo JP has ever done, it's safe to say it might be the perfect guide on how to write an incredible 20 minute epic (with a slow beginning and a heavy ending)

A Change of Seasons is just all of the emotions plus all of the instrumental awesomeness, it's basically everything DT tries to do all of the time but all of their best shit in one song imo
