Yeah, I agree with you. I don't dislike Martin's singing in Under the Tide; I just have a difficult time imaging how it would sound with Lauren doing it... it'd be cool to hear them switch it up live or something.

yeah, used to think this was frontloaded as hell. but now the other songs are starting to grow on me, and side b has recover and lung, so even though i still think it's kinda frontloaded i really love it.

I personally feel the album is very balanced. When I first heard the album I wasn't a Big fan of the last two tracks but they have grown on me.

I think tracks 7-10 are one hell of run of songs on side B... You Caught the Light is the only weak tune on here, imo.

Why would it be either horrible or phenomenal?

I don't own a record player, but this would be one of my first purchases

it's not so much about the music, but the quality of the vinyl itself. mass production of vinyl is harder than CD's which are all identical, because they are all digital. That is not the case with vinyl, which is a arduous and time-consuming undertaking. Also, very few mainstream artists care how the vinyl turns out (since that's not where they earn their money) and they'll most likely take the easy way out, and then you would be better off with the CD. And that is why i bought this on CD instead

@NorthernSkylark

Agreed. I don't see this album as a "vinyl album".

If it was an analog recording with analog synths, there's a chance that it'd sound fucking incredible on vinyl.

I'd imagine chvrches would care about their vinyl quality. I mean what other big band constantly retweets fans who want to buy or sell their concert tickets. They seem to care about their fans more than a lot of other big bands do, so they'd probably want to make a good quality vinyl for their fans IMO.
