The Walking Dead is one of those shows where I just don't understand why it's as popular as it is.

I heard the TellTale games of them were a lot of fun, tho. The choose your own path thing seems like a pretty nifty idea.

I've seen Survival Instinct videos on YT and it looks pretty basic, the telltale one is one of the best indie games I've ever played with amazing characterization/plot, all TWD fans should check it out.



Finally watched the new episode, agreed with some of the criticisms about Toph's character. I expected her to be a little wiser and... well, developed. But she wasn't too bad, I'm sure that will get better. It's interesting how the light tone annoyed some people, I enjoyed the comedic stuff more than I thought I would, especially since that aspect of Avatar usually annoys me. It's probably because this season hasn't really ramped up yet so the smaller personal stories get some time to shine.

@Ecnal idk I think it's capitalized on the trend of the moment, which is zombies (although I think that's thankfully ending as I see more and more people complaining about them).



@Talons, yeah everyone on /r/thelastairbender is freaking out (like positively) about how they stayed true to her character. Can't agree there, but I won't complain if they make her characters WRONG, you know? Like if the show rejects her philosophy of "Why bother? The names change but the streets stay the same" Like I'm sure they will but I'm also hoping they make a point of how Toph went from a dignified police chief to, well, acting like a ten year old, and reject that change to some extent

The Walking Dead is pretty sweet but doesn't deserve to break the viewing records that it does. It just goes to show how people need blood and guts all over the scene for their attention to be kept. That said, it really dug itself into a nice groove with season 4 and 5 is awesome so far.

Yeah, I've been hoping for the zombie trend to die off, too. Also, getting sick of the obsession with bacon, too. I mean, I like bacon, but I think bacon flavored toothpaste/dental floss, milkshakes, candy, lip balm, bacon designed cell phone covers, lanyards, and whatever else it's been slapped on is excessive.

Pretty sure there's even a bacon soap. Does it make you smell like bacon? I don't even know.

Agreed. Bacon is ok, but even if I thought it was great I can't see why it's so trendy to like bacon. The responses people give me when I tell them I don't care for bacon get pretty annoying after a while. It's not sacrilege so get over it.

I still need to watch sons of anarchy people have told me I'd love it. Honestly the best part of walking dead was the last 10 episodes of season 2, and it was most consistent in season 1. 3 had some great moments but dragged a lot and 4 had a very rocky start but ruled around the middle of the season. Season 5 has been great so far, especially as a fan of the comics

Korra will be fucking sad too, but Sons is soooo amazing I really reccomend it. Most of it is on Netflix too.

Also TWD had an amazing start(episode 1) but then got just "good, season 2 sucked because, you know Andrea, season 3 was awesome the first half and sucked the second half because more Andrea, and season 4 was thoroughly awesome. Season 5 is shaping up to be amazing and the premiere fucking kicked ass.

i'd watch it but i frankly have no time. this quarter is rough, with 5 classes/ tutoring/ research, plus trying to keep some semblance of a social life. i like to relax by playing music or chilling on my laptop; some tv shows facilitate relaxation but sons of anarchy seems too meaty and gritty to do that

Oh yea it's meaty and gritty and I love that in a tv show. Honestly one of the most engaging shows I've watched but yea I feel yea. I try to get all of my work done so I can chill with my friends, jam music, watch my shows and play video games and it's working so far haha

You guys should watch Fringe.
