I don't know about Top 5 because there's so much competition. But it certainly is a flawless song and is in the absolute top drawer of AiC songs.

Acid Bubble is probably my favorite off of Black Gives Way To Blue. So fuckin Doomy.
Should revisit this one eventually and try out Rainier Fog.

Acid Bubble kicks ass too man. You should give these records another shot.
Idk maybe it’s just me, but weak but Alice standards still beats the majority of rock bands out there

I don’t think Black is awful at all. Tbh, all three post Layne albums are close in quality for me. I think I have them all at 3.5. For me, it goes —
Devil
Black
Rainier

I think it's like that for me too :
Devil (really enjoyed this one, very atmospheric and dark) > Black (great one for sure) > Rainier (a bit more on the average side to me).

Some of these compositional choices on this are really sub par.

While i do enjoy specific parts, these songs as a whole feel like very 'missed potential' to me, like either the chorus doesn't live up the rest of the song or it's the other way around. Album cover deserves a more consistent tracklist. Also Hung on a Hook is a banger.. I'M CAUGHT IN A STILL LIVEEE.

I cannot get into this record for the life of me. And I absolutely love the cover art.
Voices, Stone and Hollow are the only ones I have in rotation

It's definitely overlong, but I still love a bunch of the material on here. It just might be the sludgiest and most "desert"-oriented album they've done, and the atmosphere is great
