I feel like I'd rate this higher/enjoy it more if it swapped places chronologically with White Pony.

Contextually it might make more sense, but I feel like I'd still enjoy it the same regardless.

i don't know if it'd make that much more sense coming after Around the Fur than White Pony

i mean it's not like they regressed or anything, it's more like a "resting on their laurels" sort of album but still with some new things they hadn't quite done before

it almost sounds like an outtakes comp to me sometimes, but really fucking good outtakes

i can agree that SNW is the true follow-up to Pony tho

this great album in its own right and a worthy addition to their discog. I wouldn't call it a case of resting on their laurels at all really, its' a little too ambitious for that

I always wondered how differently this and WP would be received if they changed places

I love the album but in the context of their other stuff it seems like more of a side-step or something, in comparison to say the jump from Adrenaline to ATF or that one to White Pony

which is where I imagine the "sometimes I think this would have been better coming before WP" kind of sentiment comes from

yeah gore should be bumped down a couple if this is staying at a 3.7

knife party is a classic, but it never got in my feelings as hard as other tracks

idk the chorus didn't work for me the first time I heard it until the end of the song when it made sense to me

so I kinda get that
