Great closer made even more fun by the hidden track Choke Me.
I just listened to their newest single Medz and it's not good. Lol.

This > anything MCR put out and I will die on that hill

This clears MCR no doubt. Prob one of the best post hc meets pop punk fusions. I'm probably underrating

Personally I have three cheers higher than this, but this is just a monumental album that seemed to trigger a shift in music.
I've talked about it elsewhere, but there are some albums that seem to demand attention from everyone, even if it's a genre you don't like. In my personal experience:
Jagged little Pill, The Marshall Mathers LP, The Devil and God, this, Blood Mountain and To Pimp a Butterfly stand out as the albums that found their way to you one way or another. Like all your friends and everyone who cares about music was familiar and had an opinion on them, a mystique that just required your attention.

Always hated mcr aside from the first album

Hmm. Three Cheers doesn't have a single weak song for me and I adore just about everything on it. This has higher peaks (not sure anything will ever beat the end of Buried Myself Alive) but a few weaker songs.
The albums are probably tied for me and equally formative, although this was literally my first post-hardcore album I guess it gets the slight upper hand.

It's funny that these dudes and MCR were lumped together so immediately because they sounded drastically different from each other until Lies for the Liars imo

You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison was basically a song about Gerard and Bert's relationship, no?
