It's kind of easy to say that the 70's prog is better than modern prog, but when you grew up with modern prog, you're just far more used to it than 70's stuff, which takes some getting used to. Will check out Mirage at some point

funny cos the production on 70s albums is better than modern most of the time due to terrible mastering on modern records and cheap digital recordin



for example dark side of the moon sounds better than pretty much any album ever made ever

yes they do, you just probably have the awfully compressed remasters, the original vinyl and to a lesser extent the original CD sound awesome



also forgot to mention supertramps crime of the century is a masterpiece of audio i mean holy shit does that album sound good



honestly all the best sounding albums were made in the 70s/80s/early 90s
