I much prefer post-hiatus YC to pre-hiatus but that's just me.

They're both good, just different.

They're both great (Yellowcard are one of my top 5 bands for a reason) but post-hiatus just seems much tighter and more quality over quantity on each album.

Pre-hiatus tends to be a lot more uneven. Paper Walls in particular has some of my favorite YC tracks (the title cut, The Takedown, One Spotlight) but it also has some of my least favorites (like Dear Bobbie).
When You're Through Thinking and the self-titled were pretty consistently good. This is consistently excellent -- I honestly can't rate any song here lower than 4/5. (I like to forget Lift a Sail exists.)

it's a fantastic song and yet it's middle of the pack as far as this album goes. It's just stacked from top to bottom

It's so cool to see so many people praising this. I got this album the week I started dating my now wife, so I was never entirely certain if my enjoyment of this was totally objective or stemming primarily from nostalgia. I guess it's both!

I could do without Here I am Alive. It's catchy but that's about it. But agreed it's pretty stacked, probably their best!
Also for anyone who's experienced a miscarriage firsthand, Ten only hits that much harder

haha. I know we're both in our 30's, so I'm sure we grew up to some similar music and have had similar life experiences at this point ;]

Also I know Here I Am Alive is the most generic track but Tay Jardine's contribution on backing vocals is top notch and the song would have worked nicely as a single (also Patrick Stump co-wrote it, which I always found interesting).

Patrick Stump knows how to write? I stand corrected.

All I've really heard from these guys is Ten and it kills me

One of Yellowcard's best. It would be a crime not to listen to this fully.

This is still just the best thing. Gonna make top ten of the decade at least.

This came out the week I got together with the girl that's now my wife. I'll always hold it dearly.
