dude this is honestly a contender for best overall metal album ever. it covers thrash, touches base with nwobhm, hints of black and death, super melodic yet evil, catchy as fuck. this is really the only slayer record where every song just stays in your fuckin head imo

I have a high school buddy who graduated with a master's in music theory and is now a college music professor at a university. he is one of those dudes who loves and bops to every single genre of music out there. knows every nook and cranny about music and music theory. with that said, THIS is his favorite album of all time. not just within metal, but every genre out there. this is his #1 AOAT.

Don't know about #1 AOAT but it's definitely classic. Best Slayer for mine as it has variation in the songs the other albums don't, probably because of the heavy NWOBHM influences.
