If Phil Collin's later albums with Genesis or his solo career didn't show off his talent as a drummer, then the drum beats on this album will. No matter what people say about Phil, he's the most inspirational drummer in my life. His style, attitude, and contributions have inspired to become a drummer since I was young and have always looked up to him in those regards.

Yeah his style is still recognizable in Brand X, but he shows another side of him by exploiting jazz fusion. His work for early Genesis is pretty damn complex and demanding too.

Second half of The Lamb is even better than the first for me. Surprised you've gone this long having only heard half the album.
