huh, actually i think it really is 320. weird. usually leaks before the release show lower quality or are false 320's.

We drove up to Massachusetts together

Your old house was just like you remember

We stayed in your adolescent room

Rummaged through the boxes labeled "former you"

The souvenirs of happiness in the moment

Your wild years that you often mention

The sands of time in an hourglass

That you're always begging for back

I got drunk in the afternoon with your father in the living room

As the television broke the silence

You smiled, know that I was trying the best that I can do

fuuuuck

There's something very special about an artist/band that can create very simplistic but hard hitting lyrics, and The Menzingers have a handful of songs that are hardly pullitzers in writing but so effortlessly hits home in such a succinct way.

The fact that they can convey so much without a lot of huge words means they are brilliant writers, doing what they do is a lot harder than conveying meaning through verbose prose

The Bars is definitely one of Tom's best songs. he only got 3 songs on here though, the fuck. Greg's are usually better but i liked the variety Tom added and he felt like an essential cog on the albums.

oops, Tom has 4, not 3. Boy Blue slipped past me. that, Tellin' Lies, and House On Fire were the weakest on first listen. the rest are pretty fuckin bangin though.

House on Fire is the only track that isn't straight up exemplary, total snoozefest

I could see it growing on me to become another favorite, i think its just a matter of time, gotta get attached to it as i inevitably will. Once its familiar and i know the lyrics by heart, ill probably 4.5 it.
