i like this a little bit better than For Emma since it's one track loner and that one track is Beth/Rest which fucking rules, i mean, could there be a better closing track? ever?

Really? I wouldn't go that far. I think Re: Stacks is. For its simplicity.

i understand why people like it. but its way too cheesy and kenny-g like for me. I really hate 80's ballads/pop which is weird because even though beth/rest is pretty much a direction recreation of that sound, its not the only song on here with 80's pop elements. I love the rest of the album, Minnesota is the only other track Im not huge on. Everything else is amazinggg.

Beth/Rest is so Bruce Hornsby which is fucking awesome cause it's about time a modern artist channeled and recognizes

Hornsby's brilliance. This album is such an easy listen, not as good as Emma but they really can't be compared. Both are

soaringly beautiful in different ways. I love Emma for its lyrics whereas this I love for his ability to make phenomenal and

original melody over and over again.

I still hate Beth/Rest but everything else you said is spot on. Emma doesn't just have lyrics though, its absolutely flawless. As much as I love this, it's not entirely flawless. But you are so right with what you said you love about this.

Holocene was the best track live but I think my personal fave on record is Minnesota, WI. Prob wouldn't call it the best but I love the contrast between his vocals.
