Lowering my rating for this. There's some choice cuts especially at the beginning of the album, but I find it gets samey by the end. SBD and PME were steps in the right direction, gotta give DCA more listens too

I think DB are a great metal band, just not a great Black Metal band. Same goes for COF really but I guess that tag matters to neither of these guys.

Yeah I know! And I've tried many times. My dislike has to do with the sameyness I think. RunOfTheMill was right about that. To me, Spiritual Black Dimensions is superior in every way (fave Dimmu), so are PEM and DCA.

yeah cradle has several awesome records and a solid comeback arc while dimmu basically only have stormblast and this. plus cruelty is a certified classic while this is just in the "really great" category.
doesnt change the fact that i love this record tho.
