I still remember the first time I heard Strapping Young Lad...I was listening to a Gojira station on last.fm, and Oh My Fucking God came on. I was not sure what to make of it, and I wasn't quite sure I enjoyed it. Needless to say, it's grown on me a bit since then, being the best metal album ever made and all that jazz.

About a week ago I got a really bad sunburn. Shoulders and back completely covered in blisters and whatnot. The last couple of days my skin has been peeling like a motherfucker. As I was sitting just peeling scales of dead skin off my back and feeling the new skin, suddenly it made me think of All Hail the New Flesh. So I thought I should come to this album discussion to say that. Because its a great song.

I remember how groundbreaking this was when it was released, and then being frustrated when it was six years until the next record, which happened to be a big let down, though Devy more than made up for it in many releases since.
Album slays. Production was ahead of its time.
