Some symphonic metal would please me too.

I also wonder what it would look like if they attempted an epic song of say...7 minutes. Would be interesting to see.

If the peak of their writing skills was displayed on Dear Agony I doubt they could do that

"a la Red?"

Exactamundo. Or maybe not that unsubtle... Say one of Biffy Clyro's songs where they use an orchestra.

Just cause they typically use the radio-rock format doesn't mean they're incapable of doing one, I mean Shinedown did one on Us and Them and it was great.

Agree with all the sentiment here, but they've released a few albums now; is it simply going to continue to be unfulfilled potential.

lakes you made a good choice with phobia, thats a great starting point for BB. if you honestly don't like that after several listens, then i'll leave you be ;)

Yeah, I think 'Phobia' is also their best, although I'd probably rate their 2nd LP around about the same.

Well, while I disagree Phobia's their best, I also would pick Phobia as a good point of start with BB.

What are you guys going to ask next? Ben, make a Britney-like song! Come on, epic's not BB's thing.

As far as I'm concerned any of their last 3 albums would work.

A tour of Australia would be nice.

Oh, yeah, that would be great if Ben wasn't afraid of flying.

I just like this. It's better than phobia imo, and I found w.a.n.a too boring to sit straight through - So Cold is like my favorite BB song though

Well, to each their own on the albums... This definitely isn't a 4.5 to me. And yeah, 'So Cold' is right up there for me too.

Davey a question.

You admit that this is more consistent than Phobia, right? And Ties claims (and claims right) that this album is mostly a combine of all strenghts from their last albuns. Taking this into account, how do you justify this as a stepdown from Phobia?

I'm unsure if I admitted that this is more consistent. I'd say they're about equal on that; this may be a touch more if anything. I think it TRIES to combine all the strengths of their last 3 albums, but it doesn't really come off. In fact, it almost works against them since progression is a little disappointing.

The other major factor for me is that while I like 'I Will Not Bow', I think the stronger songs on 'Phobia' are better than on here.
