And you've hit the nail right on its head. Claiming that people are unable to enjoy music simply because they're willing to recognize crap and aren't afraid to describe it as such is akin to thinking someone is unable to enjoy life simply because they don't stuff their face with Jelly Bellies. Enjoyability is not the same as quality.

I agree completely. Something can still have a high level of enjoyability (for some) even if it's not of great quality. Conversely, something can be of great quality, but is simply not enjoyable (for some). I recognize say, for example, Arghoslent's brand of quality death metal, but I don't enjoy it. Conversely, I realize that Alestorm is about as far from quality composition as you can get, but I find it very enjoyable. This Message Edited On 02.05.09
