I guess I wasn’t there to see how influential it was at release, but the songwriting and production style just doesn’t seem very original to me. And it’s not a style that I have any nostalgia for either.

album definitely doesn't feel dated. it was so ahead of it's time and still sounds fresh.
if anything, Graduation is his most "dated" sounding record. used to be one of my all time favs but it hasn't aged wonderfully
