the punk sound you can trace from the Buzzcocks to Fall Out Boy is a fast plucky sound... hard to describe but whereas old school punk was bit more diverse Pop-Punk is based around this plucky sound from Sum41, Blink 182, Fall Out Boy etc etc its prominent in all their main songs

I saw them live on The American Idiot Tour. It was a good time. This album isn't that bad. I think it's more mature. American Idiot is probably the worst song on the album. Heh all the singles are pretty bad besides Jesus Of Suburbia. Are We The Waiting is good also. Homecoming is a weak attempt at a JoS. Everything else is bland and boring.

I liked the old Green Day better. The damn radio ruined the CD and so did everyone everywhere just blaring only Wake Me Up When September Ends, Holiday, and American Idiot. That's why I stick to real punk and rock that doesn't get the shit played out of it on the radio and everywhere else.

Well...if anything the radio ruined Boulevard. I hated that song from the start though, so meh. At least they didn't overplay my favorite songs on the record.
