i used to like orchid more, but i think morningrise has more staying power. the highs on morningrise aren't quite as high, but as a whole it just flows so well.

I still waiting for Richard Cheese to cover an opeth song. It would be hilarious.

Is this anyone else's fav Opeth? I like most of their later stuff, but this hits that sweet spot of old school Swe-death goodness for me, Morningrise is very close too

opeth have gone through several distinct eras that might as well be different bands but I would say morningrise is their greatest work and maybe my favorite
