First time jamming this. Delicious Trip Hop. I'm late to the party but I can see why this band is so revered.
PS: Man this was a fantastic listen. It's chilling yet very musical and I absolutely loved the vocals everywhere. I think the main reason I could never get into rap yet I love some trip-hop/hip-hop is the soul influenced vocals.

Shara Nelson did an amazing job on vocals.

Oooooh yeah all the vocals and all of that soul, it's perfect. You get it Frost.
And you as well of course Vlac.

Nice. Trip Hop is an elite genre Frost (well... it falls off dramatically after a certain point but there are plenty of hidden-ish gems outside of the v small handful many people check)
and yes, this is an all-timer, even more so than Mezzanine (which is a touch frostier to me). I like this one's warmth!

Same 100%. Mezzanine is amazing but this is one of my all time faves, as in: top 10 material.

That t/t must surely be one of the most deliciously smooth and cool moments ever recorded. Whoa. Still hits hard.
Finally bought real good headphones and this track is simply G~O~R~G~E~O~U~S~L~Y produced as well. Oooof. Whole album of course, but this track, oooo.

This possibly has the greatest opening song of all time on it.

Oh I can immediately hear that bassline playing. A perfect tune indeed.

The more trip-hop I listen to the more I come back to this album. Something very special about it that makes it the best. Everything inside the realm of trip hop leads me here. About to 5 it.

Mezzanine is the more complete album but the classics on this are some of the best songs that have ever been written. In fact.
1. Safe From Harm
2. Teardrop
3. Risingson
4. Unfinished Sympathy
5. Protection (allow me this one)
6. Daydreaming
7. Angel
8. Hymn of the Big Wheel
That is the greatest album of all time.

Protection t/t clears, but that list has none of the best tracks on Mezz excepting maybe Angel

It’s my second favourite behind Unfinished Sympathy.
An absolute stunner

Risingson is the best song off Mezzanine John. I’ve been listening to the thing since you were still a scratch in your dads pants.
