I'd disagree that it drags; granted a few things are long but I think everything is more-or-less perfectly lengthed before developing. Which parts are you referring to?

The SHELL OF A MAN part in particular. The awesome moments certainly outweigh the bad though. Absent is fucking phenomenal. That bass.

Nooooo, that's one of my favourite bits! :o Haha, I can understand why you'd think so, but I really think that was well done; just feels perfectly desperate to me. Absent IS fucking phenomenal, the drums are just crazy.

The last 5 minutes of Au Pays Natal/Sol just crushes. One of the most dominating moments in my entire musical discography.

I disagree, but whatever still a brilliant album. All of Absent and Departe is amazing.

Boy oh boy, I love Au Pays Natal/Sol. It's really the only thing I come back to from this album.

There are some good tracks on here but I find the singer's vocals so one-dimensional and overrated. He's got this one growl and he never adjusts the intensity or anything to it. If they were instrumental only then I might like them better.

Yea he vocals are pretty one dimensional. One of my least favorite aspects of this.

It's not supposed to be the focal point though that's why he's sort of buried in the mix.

I don't think he's buried at all. He's quite prominent in my opinion. He's a greatest vocalist, but I'm saying Id agree with him not really changing it up that much.

Fair enough, he definitely gets the job done well and he is quite powerful.

You really get lost in this when it starts hitting you with the ambient tracks

The riffs in Absent are so badass. That intro is also so creepy on a huge sound system.
