Mine was Harvest and Porcelain Heart. Found them on my iPod and didn't even know were they came from, don't remember ever putting them on. And then I heard to Bleak. This album was the first and it stuck with me.

I discovered it a few years ago, took a few listens and then it started to grow on me like mad. Loved it

ever since.

The Drapery Falls is so hypnotic, definitely a demanding listen. It's frustrating when people call it "boring" or complain that it or Dirge for November drag. The Funeral Portrait is a mid-tempo rocker, pretty different for them but it completely works. That solo and outro are album highlights for sure.

Eh, Dirge does drag for me. The opening is haunting, but the rest of it just goes nowhere. Drapery Falls is incredible, though.

Everything up to the vocals entering is amazing and the outro is one of the most beautiful sections of the album.

This whole album has an incredible atmosphere and the dynamics only make it better, same with Ghost Reveries and Still

Life.

A bit here, but I like the change. I just want them to develop a more unique sound in prog rock now, Pale Communion started that.

Pale Communion was less unique than Heritage if anything.

But yeah I don't miss old Opeth at all. Their older albums are still there, I don't need album after album of the same formula, they've done more than enough already.

I disagree, but I do agree about that they have done more than enough of this.

PC has more moments that sound like their ripping off particular classic prog bands, most of Heritage doesn't even sound that much like particular prog acts (despite the common misconception surrounding it).
