That’s all I wanted. I’m holding out until Thursday night but I’m very excited to hear this considering how much the title track has grown on me.

I strongly disagree that the song writing is back to lateralus or aenima level. It's just like 10k where it meanders a lot for the sake of being long and technical

I can't help but think some of the songs on the new album didn't need to be as long as they are. All the instrumental bits sound great, but I feel some of them could have been cut. For example, Descending really doesn't need to be 13 minutes long imo. The first half of that song is awesome but they could have trimmed some of those instrumental sections at the end. That being said, I would still give the album a strong 4 because when it's good, it's VERY good.

It's really not 10,000 Days Pt. 2. It has the experimentation and long song lengths, but it's also more accessible and straightforward in the vein of their older work.

FI was fantastic. Worth the 13 year wait I believe.
Top three for me has gotta be 7empest, Pneuma, and Descending. If I were to describe the new album in one word... hypnotizing.
