it sounds like drafts of three different albums slapped together with a cover signaling its a mixtape and not an album. you have bangers, you have "conscious" """jazz""" rap, and then you just kinda have these sorta floaty feel-good tracks that have cool gimmicks and concepts riding them. just too scatterbrained for its own good.

Was hoping this was gonna be more southern sounding tbh. Humble really hinted at it and he already dabbled heavy with jazzy east coast stuff on TPAB; the stuff just seems to emphasize the pop stuff rather than the southerness of trap
Just woulda been neat for Kendrick to have been the apparent master of both the West and East coast then he goes and does Southern hella nicely

i mean in all reality? put blood, yah, element, pride, lust, and duckworth on an EP that would be a solid 3.5-4. Everything else is just alright or good but id never return to most of them.

I'm feeling a 4 on this, first impression. I can see it growing to a 4.5 though. It's just FUN, which is what I want mostly when I turn to hip hop. It does what it does very well imo, even if it feels a bit scetterbrained.
