Oh damn, OK so first listen complete - the last song was clearly the best track on the album, at least on first impression.

I think Maynard taking more of a background approach with this album will end up being a good thing, but I won’t know til I listen. Wouldn’t be good for their previous albums but I feel it will set this album apart from their past material.

But I can tell this one will be more of a grower than immediate please like those two. I really have to sit down with this while reading the lyrics and getting sucked into it before I can truly place it, I guess

that's what im hoping kinda like when Swans dropped My Father.. Tbh this new joint is good but its not anywhere near Aenima, Lateralus, or even TT imo. 13 years is a long time to start making an album again so hopefully they get rejuvenated.

I have an hour and a half journey to my worksite for the next one month. I'm going to spin it again tomorrow morning and enjoy the scenary. It will be great. So far, this is a solid 4 but it will surely grow. Quite a lot to digest here
