also the production on this used to be such a huge turnoff for me, esp as a youngin getting into dm fresh off the heels of whatever remaster of symbolic I was jamming, and yeah now this shit fucking rules. honestly, valid. Gorguts is just my goat dm band, and even then that really only starts with Obscura. I think the first two are great but they ascend to goat status with that record and everything after
