This is a pretty bad album in what is arguably one of the weakest subgenres of metal (granted it blends a lot of different genre traits). The guitar solos are self indulgent wankfests and oft times cheesy. The vocals i can dig but after a full hour they're pretty grating. I'm not a fan of blistering solos *just cuz*. They're almost malmsteen levels of self indulgent, at times.
There's honestly a lot to like on this album, for fans of the genre and technically proficent guitar playing, but it's easy to see why someone would dislike this - even hate it
