I think part of the reason why this album works so well is bc Bobby Koelbe wasnt a band guy, but an educated musician. He was getting his masters in jazz guitar at UC Berkeley when he auditioned for Death, and he’s currently a music professor at Central Florida. So i think he knew alot of the theory behind how to lay down some beautiful leads and harmonies. Really great stuff
