It's like a really good book of poetry that comes with the album. It may pertain to the album's atmosphere... but if the singer is not annunciating any of it, then it's just really good poetry that comes with the album. It doesn't relate to the music if he substitutes inaudible screams in liue of great lyrics he's already written.

Jake's melodic singing on "Jane Doe" was great, but all other melodic singing either sucked or was done by guests (Jonah on "Grim Heart", Steve on "Cruel Bloom" and Mookie on "Wretched World").
