Hahaha that 0.5 doesn't makes that much of a difference regarding my statement. A 5 is given to a "perfect" album and On the Run blows the perfection of DSotM for me.

thats a pretty common complaint, but one I just don't get. I love the song and it fits in the concept perfectly. it basically only helps build up what the song Time stands for. you've been 'on the run' aimlessly in a forward direction until suddenly one day you blinked and you find that 10 years have got behind you.

I go back and forth but it usually tends to sit at a 4.5 for a while. its mostly to exaggerate the leap between it and WYWH, because its pretty immense in my book. love animals to death, but its missing the spark that scratches my floyd itch. I love their ethereal, borderline psych sound. this album has superb structure and the concepts pretty interesting, and perhaps the musicianship is the highest in Floyd's discography in terms of constantly delivering, but I think it falls short to Wish in every other way, and Wish is only my third fav floyd

I don't know I find The Wall overrated as hell, the other three deserve all the praise and recognition they get and I would include meddle on that bunch
