Ah man, Gauze is probably my favorite chorus on the whole album. Really exemplifies Chino's range with the high notes the same way Entombed, Sextape, 976-EVIL and Digital Bath do.
Swerve is a good song but it does feel a little too calculated to be a radio song. Leathers would have been one hell of an opener instead even if it is more a "standard Deftones opener".

"I could live without gauze, goon squad, & graphic nature. romantic dreams is kinda ehh too" id swap goon squad w poltergeist but pretty much yea, except that statement is kinder to how i feel about romantic dreams i cannot deal w that one. sounds like an auto generated deftones song has absolutely nothing entertaining about it

romantic dreams is unshapely but I like all of the parts. gauze is awesome tho, totally what I want out of tones (fav tones songs are digital bath and cherry waves/kimdracula, and the opener from s/t. of what I've heard. gauze up there too)

this album has grown on me so much over the years. remember being slightly underwhelmed by it at first, but that's probably because it had to follow Diamond Eyes which is without a doubt (imo) Deftones' strongest effort to date.
