Wish You Were Here delivers a more engaging experience with just 5 tracks than nearly any double album/concept album out there.

Nah, I think it's really overrated. Of course it's a redefining album, but its innovation apart, I can't find the same emotion there is in WYWH or The Wall.

I don't think it's overrated at all but I don't consider it to be the best Floyd album.

Indeed, bad choice of words. It's a music monument, BUT, the rest of my sentence I keep the same.

it takes a special moment to click, and you'll realize everything that makes it so perfect

Well, it has clicked. The only think I believe keeps it from being the absolute PF for me is the lesser emotion it has.

hmmm, thats interesting. I get what you mean in that Wish is way more personal to Waters, and it probably is a bit more "emotional" when you realize the concept behind it all. but I'll have to disagree with the wall being more emotional. some parts maybe, but its loss in the story of the album. great gig and us and them are probably more emotional than anything on the wall. but in terms of just straight up raw emotion, dark side stirs it up just as much if not more then wish for me. I guess the word emotional just tends to signify sadness and grief, which is the focus of WYWH more so then it is on dark side

ha. No it has. Just different opinions. When it had clicked I'd listen to it daily all day. I'd fallen in love with it. The Great Gig in the Sky, Us and Them, Money, Lunatic (!) are all superb, but with the years I've come to a point where I don't come back to it that much.

Well, talking about emotion I find The Dark Side of the Moon the most emotional album ever released and I don't consider it takes many spins in order to click, at least it clicked instantly for me. My main issue is with On the Run which ruins the perfect score (5) for me, I can't help but skipping it every time I hear it.

Album is pretty great, but never has fully clicked with me and I've listened to it a lot over the course of my life. Songwriting is great but seems like it's lacking some passion, like they just seem bored. Gonna give another listen or two to give a proper rating cuz it's been a while since I've heard it last.

Meddle is my fav from Floyd

Dude, you've said it's the most emotional album ever released. Give it the credit it deserves.
