How are you supposed to get better quality than a CD?

Yeah, maybe that's just how it sounds. I have all the Converge studio and compilation albums (other than Halo, 'cause no one has that) on CD and they all sound pretty wild.

thats just their sound and style dude, unless you can get hold of the master tapes from the recording your pretty much stuck with what you've got

I've been used to whatever digital rip I've had of this forever...



But I bought a vinyl press this weekend and really wasn't that impressed in the sound quality... This has happened before with other albums that I've bought on vinyl...

But the point of What I was getting at is that sometimes pressings of modern albums on vinyl fail to impress like this one and others sound far superior to their digital counterparts

CD technically can play higher bitrate music so it is supposed to sound better, but you know people love the analog sound.



Anyways, I want that master tape. I'm surprised Converge has continued to do this to their music for over a decade!



In fact, I would probably rate this album 5/5 if it weren't for the shitty distortion "effects." I love this album but am also very much bothered by it.

I've always purchased vinyls as collector's items, personally. Leave it to the 320kbp MP3s for listening quality.
