I can only imagine what it was like for a teenager in 1980 to fall in love with Highway to Hell and then learn about Bon Scott's death and then learn that the band was putting out a new album with a new singer and then run out to get the new album and put it on and listen as it opens with those funeral bells and then kicks into that guitar riff and then the whole band fucking explodes out of your speakers.
What a fucking rollercoaster.

Well yeah, that's exactly how it all unfolded and was the reason why the release of this record was overwhelming in so many ways

@ Hero & Mr. Rock,
Interestingly enough list of words.
|

I still find hard to come around the fact this was released in 1980.
Although saying it sounds like it was recorded yesterday also implies that the band has been stuck in the same loop in time for 40 years.

Well it also speaks volumes about how influential Mutt Lange's production is. Between his work with AC/DC and Def Lep he basically wrote the book on rock production.
