sort of yeah. I mean it went platinum but they didn't really tour behind it and it took them 5 or 6 years to release another
record so they never really gained any kind of momentum

when I first picked this up I had no idea who anyone in the band was aside from Phil. even after I bought a copy of dopesick (purchased solely because of the band name and album cover) i never made the connection until years later.

this wasnt big when it came out, because back then I bought basically every CD that was big and this wasnt it, should have definitely bought it hard when it came out though.

in those days, a metal band had 2 ways of getting any kind of following: 1. Get your record played on radio/mtv, which wasn't gonna happen or 2. Tour and tour and tour some more, which wasn't gonna happen so yeah. but people did buy this record, most of them pantera fans no doubt.

I distinctly remember hearing Stone the Crow on the radio for like 3 weeks and then nothing.
Record company probably fucked them hard.
