i've seen them three times both as openers and as headliners and they were better and better every time, carson especially.

will say though the last time i saw them they performed songs from the EP and there was def a lot of weight being carried by the backing track on those songs and that'll def be the case with these new ones too. felt like a lot of standing around doing nothing. what they record in the studio has way surpassed what they can realistically recreate on stage at this point.

Yall are funny. I don’t care that people don’t love this. What I find lame is people who need to make their opinion known loudly and repeatedly like they have something profound to add that’ll change everyone else’s minds

or they just wax pseudo intellectual while huffing their own farts…

Which we all know is a certain staff member’s bread and butter and was specifically called out a few pages back by someone who isn’t me so… lol.

Coma, are you not loudly and repeatedly stating your opinion? lol

Think this 3.5 is probably sticking with this record for me. There are a lot of fun, vibrant moments but I don't think the connective tissue is as strong as the album thinks it is. Still, the fun bits are really fun

This starts out white hot and really fizzles down the stretch for me. One of those albums that is a really interesting listen, but I would never stop shuffle for anything on it save 2, maybe 3 tracks.

I enjoy this the most when it commits to one side of the coin, and the least when the coin is constantly flipping and fumbling around in the air. Overall, the most I've connected with any of their work though.

NGL, hearing "The a la Menthe"'s beat in in Two-Headed Trout was one of the most double take things I've heard in awhile. Instantly started going "ADMIN HE'S DOING IT SIDEWAYS"

love to see it's time for sputnik's monthly self-awareness meltdown from one of the same handful of users who feel encroached by any dissenting opinion (despite spamming their own over any album they dislike) and have never contributed anything worthwhile to a reciprocal discussion

this place wouldn't be the same without its resident piss babies, and i'm here for it at this point

Great openings and endings to the album but from Tears on Lambo Leather to Douchebag Safari the album hits autopilot mode imo.

If nobody has run a vocal feature composed of only Sput's worst comments I'm so down to fill that awful void.

Lol we’re gonna have twenty minute long post rock songs if we use Jonny’s self indulgent essays as lyrics

"Great openings and endings to the album but from Tears on Lambo Leather to Douchebag Safari the album hits autopilot"

This most accurately captures my current feeling as well. Unsurprisingly it starts the downslide right at the Orthodox feature.
