"It’s come to light that some people find the way I perform on stage to be jarring. I’m aware that I might seem to move quite awkwardly at times but you’re watching a hurting individual expressing themselves and letting go of all their inhibitions in an attempt to find moments of true artistic freedom and expression."

Pretty fucked up that a guy that performs as consistently well as he does live has to deal with that perception. Early on he was a bit stiff but I always assumed it was just him trying to stay focused on the performance. He looked super comfortablewhen I saw them a few months ago though, has definitely embraced the frontman role.

im still so bummed i had to miss my show last minute. hope they come back to the states sooner rather than later. this has really sunk itself deep into me

everyone ive talked to that has gone has said dan killed it tho. wild to think hes being dunked on now esp when his vocals are like, otherworldly now (and from the vids ive seen it seems he can pull it all off too)

Definitely. There's definitely some videos out there of him struggling a bit at the end of the set with Juno, but on the whole he was fantastic.

Yeah he does seem to let go of some of the higher power notes often, but it's understandable when going for a long tour - gotta save that voice. Thanks to that while he plays it safer than, for example, Einar, he's also more consistent with the sections he chooses to fully perform. I'm good with that, and I'm a vocs junkie

People whining on how Dan performs are just complete stoner imbeciles, the guy is obviously having fun performing wtf. I did however found it a bit strange he didn't go for some of the higher notes, while doing the more difficult parts (at least in my eyes) perfectly. Anyways, the guy was still performing on a monstrous level and his energy was a joy to behold.

I'M THE GREY UPON THE SEA

Loved the concert in Munich, they were awesome. Dan's moves are actually cool IMO, he seems natural at performing in a slightly off-kilter way. He killed the vocals too, although you can see him holding back a bit during certain songs, but only in rare moments. The title track might have been my gavorite live, it ebbs and flows with so much energy.

The way Natural Disaster opens is such a perfect show opener that I doubt we'll see them do anything else for several years. It was definitely one of my highlights along with T/T and of course the crushing Smile towards the end of the set.
