"No biggie to me perfer marten."

Me too but Marten alone is not Meshuggah, the off the wall moments are severely lacking

I mean I get that fredrick could of wrote a bit more here but it doesn't hurt the album just like it didn't hurt the last album. Marten along with thomas and dick have it covered. That's the beauty of this album it's a very marten feeling album. And its unique it stands out for it

@DType - yeah I can see Black Cathedral not belonging it is a different vibe altogether I just really dug how different it is. They Move fits stylistically just the album placement is weird I guess for me but I also don’t see where else it might fit

Still growing 4.1

"Black Cathedral", maybe, just maybe, they will explore this style on the next album, and proved to be self mutable, idk, just being silly.

Album is doing really well on here. Like a good percent of folks 4.5'd this. Deserved.

"I dunno if i was the only one feeling the severe lack of Thordendal again"

Yeah same. Have been missing him on the last records. He adds some spice!

This album does what is pretty rare, which is that it grabs me and keeps me grabbed pretty much the entire album. Only other Meshuggah that does that for me is Catch Thirtythree. Not even obZen is like that for me. You can just tell where the energy is being channeled from, this one feels like it's all from the gut and that's usually what I love. I might be in denial with my 4.5, but a 5 within 2 days seemed to be jumping the gun a little.

Dropped to a 4.5. 5 is a tad much on it. I've never been the type to give out fake 5's. Its a real 4.5 tho Superb album

I often say I need to be in the right mindset for an album, but this just PUTS me in the right mindset. Also sort of a rare thing for an album, not even all my 5s are like that. Like I can't just put on A Moon Shaped Pool in any mood.

He adds the crazyness in a band called "crazy" in hebrew, so he's that important
