it somehow made sense in my head. linking back to the comment about “best metal album ever”. made me curious what my highest rated albums were (and how closely they aligned with what my impromptu off-the-cuff list would’ve theoretically been - fairly close!)

honestly i can't get behind a band whose whole focus in the music is racist aesthetics like that, GBK and Arghoslent both can get in the bin for me, strongly against NSBM/explicitly bigoted music like that, there's a list I go to on RYM for navigating the sketchiness of BM and I don't like going past "2" or maybe the odd "3" on their scale under any circumstances, GBK is rated at 5 aka the most bad rating

Arghoslent was solid music but at the end of the day when I learned that it's fundamentally rooted in how they're just super shitty people it ruined whatever they had going for it

yeah for me i just can't with Nazi stuff. i've zero patience for fascist ideologues, esp as it becomes more and more normalized in the mainstream to say the most vile things about minority groups. i had an edgelord phase in my day (which, thank god I was too entrenched in core stuff to even have interest in "racist death metal")...but it was in growing up that i realized just how harmful what I thought was innocuous (anti-sjw movement) had became (manosphere, maga, alt right). it's probably not worth going too in detail on this site but i'll just say i am explicitly against fascism
